CBR/LARC 2015

Dear Teams of the LARC/CBR 2015 - Humanoid and Standard Platform League (SPL),

I am pleased to inform you that we had 7 teams accepted (without corrections and after some corrections) for participation in the Humanoid and Standard Platform competition. Considering that these 7 teams are going to proceed with registration (some of them after correcting the TDPs and adjust their robots), we are going to have:

- 5 teams selected for participating in the Humanoid KidSize League:

- 2 teams selected for participating in the SPL:

As predicted by the rules and in order to foment both categories, since the SPL did not have at least three teams pre-registered, we will have ONE UNIQUE Mixed Category, combining the teams from both categories (Humanoid + SPL). However, the awards will be separated, considering the classification of each team within its category.

The rules adopted will be the 2015 rules used by the Humanoid KidSize League:

Except for the field, that will follow the common field rule available in http://www.cbrobotica.org/wp-content/uploads/Humanoid-and-Standard-Platform-Leagues.pdf and for the ball, which will be an orange ball in order to attend the SPL’s rule (the ball is not yet defined, but will be an orange ball).

The Humanoid’s rule will be adopted because it has fewer requirements (excluding the artificial grass). The SPL’s rule requires things that humanoids are not used to, like jerseys, coach, whistle to start the game, possibility to play with 5 players (while in the Humanoid league the maximum number of players is 4) and so on.
